The perfect cutting board for your knife
Fumbling with a plastic cutting board when you have the ideal pan for preparing a nice piece of meat? Time to buy a new one! Your plastic one will harbour bacteria, not very hygienic. Better opt for our cutting board made of special Eurpean FSC beech wood.

Features

  •  Ideal hardness to cut nicely.
  •  More hygienic than plastic.
  •  Wood fibres recover, keeping the board beautiful.
  •  Both sides are suitable for cutting up.
  •  One side is fitted with a trench for collecting juices.
  •  Fitted with molded-in handles.
  •  If used properly, it will last a lifetime.
  •  The cutting board is not dishwasher-safe.
  •  Wood works so it can warp, shrink and expand.

Our wooden chopping board is more hygienic than a plastic one
Cut your ingredients in style. Because the wood naturally contains the substance tannin, bacteria don't stand a chance. This type of beech wood also contains extremely high levels of tannin, so goodbye single-celled bacteria. The wood has another big advantage: it is just hard enough to be able to cut nicely without your knife becoming blunt. And very strong: your board will last a lifetime. If you do want to break it, put it in the dishwasher nice and often. No, better not do that.

We pre-treated the board with two layers of Tung oil, preventing dirt and moisture from soaking in. That oil (after drying) is of course completely food-safe, as we call it.

One side for dry ingredients and one side for wet ingredients
One side of the board is smooth, ideal for cutting dry ingredients on. Going to make a mess? Then use the other side. There, we have milled a trench with a reservoir, so all excess moisture is neatly collected. The sides of this cutting board have milled-in handles.

The self-healing cutting board
We made it in a special way: end-sawn pieces of wood are glued together. This gives the board a self-repairing ability: you have to get pretty crazy to keep seeing scratches.

But just one more thing: the wood works a bit, so it may expand and shrink a bit and warp a bit. But put it upside down and the next day it will be straight again!
